What is the Transport Manager CPC Qualification?

If you have a Standard Operator Licence, be it national or international you are required by law to have a nominated Transport Manager with the relevant Certificate of Professional Competence.

In order to achieve the qualification candidates are required to pass two exams. The first being a multiple-choice exam consisting of 60 questions with a nominal pass park of 42. The questions are based around all areas of Road Transport and are randomly selected.

The second exam is a case study exam. This exam tests candidate’s knowledge of the industry by placing them in a ‘real to life’ scenario with 6 core questions on that scenario. The main areas of the curriculum focus on Drivers Hours, Vehicle Costings and Operator Licencing whilst the rest of the questioning could feature any other area found in the study manual. This exam is an ‘open book’ exam meaning candidates are able to take in printed and written notes in to the examination to aid them.
